Christmas special
This in an au were they in in normal school.
It was a week before Christmas and Raven's school was going to have a Christmas party in a few days. Everyone was talking about it, about what they would wear, who would go, with who they would and all that stuff. Many people from Raven their class were going except for a few people. One of the people who weren't going was Mathew one of Raven's friends.
"Why aren't you going, Mathew?" Raven asked during break. "Parties aren't really my thing and I don't enjoy dancing or something," Mathew explained. "I also don't enjoy dancing you could just chill with me and eat food," Raven was determined to get him to go. "I don't want to spend my money on the party entry i could use it for better stuff." "I can pay it for you." "Also I don't have anything fancy to wear." "Who cares, just come in something you like." "Well I don't live close so I wouldn't even have a way to come here the bus doesn't drive anymore at the time it starts." "Then you can drive with me." "You don't even live close to me it would take longer to first get me and then go to school than go to school without getting me." "Okay and? I could still pick you up." Mathew was a little flattered by how much Raven seemed to care about him going to the party. "Would you really?" "Yeah of course I am not going to let a friend not attend the party." Mathew smiled. "Okay then." "I will pick you up ten minutes before the party." "Thank you." "No problem!"
Raven did what they said they would and paid for Mathew his entry.

On the day of the party, Raven went shopping in a big mall. The party was at night so Raven and their parents had enough time to drive over there shop and head back before they needed to pick up Mathew. Raven spends the whole day shopping with their parents looking for the best clothes to wear during the party. First, they tried dresses but Raven hated how they all looked on them. After a lot of begging Raven got their parents to agree to them trying suits instead. After fitting a few Raven found one that was absolutely amazing. It was a dark blue suit with small stars on the blazer. They bought it and went into the city to find somewhere they could eat. It was already dark when they were done and they drove back.
They were peacefully driving when suddenly the car broke down. They stood at the side of the road waiting for the tow truck. Raven's dad was busy calling people probably telling them that he could not attend his next meeting or something like that. Raven's mom was taking all the stuff out of the car and put it in bags becease oh wow so bad if someone stole the cookies.
Raven on the other hand was busy worrying about the party. What if they didn't make it in time? And even worse they couldn't pick up Mathew like they said they would. Raven began quickly thinking of solutions.
After the tow truck took the car they walked to the nearest bus station and waited for the bus. "Why couldn't you just call a taxi? You have enough money." Raven asked their dad. "They all either scam or kidnap you. Not worth the risk." Eventually the bus got there and they drove home with it. They were lucky that the car broke down now and not later because otherwise the bus wouldn't drive anymore.
While in the bus Raven came with an idea to pick up Mathew, they quickly texted some older friends to arrange it. When they got home Raven got dressed and waited for their friends to arrive.
After a few minutes the doorbell rang. "Thanks that you could help me out," Raven said. 2 of Raven's friends came on scooters with 2 spare helmets to pick Raven and Mathew up. "No problem bud. Happy to help with a growing romance. " "it's nothing romantic!" "Sure..." The 2 looked at eachother not convinced.
Raven put one of the helmets and sat down. Together they quickly rode towards Mathew's house.Raven rang the doorbell. "Hello your drive is here. My original plan failed a bit so i had to improvise but I'm here." Mathew came out and laughed at Raven's determination. They drove towards the school making jokes and laughing the whole drive. When they got to school they both quickly took of their helmets. "Thanks again for helping me out last minute," Raven said before the others drove off again.
Together Raven and Mathew ran towards the door hoping they weren't to late. At the party they both had a great time making pictures, eating food, enjoying the music and most of all chatting and spending time together. When the party was done Raven and Mathew walked to Raven their house and had a nice Christmas dinner. After that they watched Christmas movies the rest of the night.
